Based on the Cyrus 8 XP platform the 6 XP benefits from all improvements of its bigger siblings, but saves cost by removing the digital card and PSX-R options. However, the digital card can be added at a later date, so a consumer can progress in stages. The 6 XP has a more modest Stereo 2 x 40 watt power output.

The XP series models include a customisable menu system, that allows users to setup and manage the more advanced system options via the front panel LCD display. A wide menu of options includes individual input naming and adjustable input sensitivities. Once the control options have been setup, the XP amplifiers become intuitive to operate, yet offer the ability to accommodate many different source components.
